I like Jake Long, I think he has all the tools to be a future HOF'er. Does that mean he should be the #1, not really. I still think they could have addressed the OL in Round 2 with some solid OT still left on the board.
Beck is not a starting QB in the NFL IMO. I think he is a bonafied backup but not someone you want to put the weight of the franchise on. I don't think Matt Ryan is that either but I would have rather seen them take Chris Long or Glenn Dorsey.
If I were the Dolphins my wish list would have went:
1. Glenn Dorsey (Could be a great anchor at Nose for a 3-4)
2. Jake Long (Like I said, could potentially be a HOF'er)
3. Run DMC (How can you even pass this guy up at any position)
4. Chris Long (Hybrid DE/OLB with unlimited potential)
5. Matt Ryan (Not a franchise QB IMO, more of a GOOD starter who doesn'y lose games for you)
I don't much think I'd want C. Long as an OLB. IMO Jake Long is the best choice for the Dolphins IF they can't trade the pick. T. Boselli had his career shortened by injuries, but he was the prime reason the Jaguars made their run in their 2nd year of existence...Long could do the same for the Dolphins IMO.
